wipers stopped working ?

Evening fellow members can anyone out there give me any help with a family members A2 were the window wiper has stopped working, i will change the 25 amp fuse tomorrow and hopefully this will sort it but if it does not sort the issue is there any other things i need to address ??? relays etc and on the subject of the wiper relay where is it on the car.any help before i look at it tomorrow would be much appreciated.

First thing to try is the earth of the wiper motor
Take a jump lead with you and connect one end to the engine metal part and the other to the wiper motor body

See if it works then. If it does (highly likely) then a piece of wire can be used to make an earth strap. Anywhere on the body where there is a bolt is suitable to connect it

I had the complete opposite happen, the wiper used to come on randomly. Turned out it was the earth someone had added from the engine block to the wiper motor. Spraying it with contact cleaner seems to work for a few months.

It is a very common issue for a2.
Had the same issue. Fixed it with a wire connected to the body behind the cooling reservoir.

I still did not figure out where the "-" should be connected thou. I mean some connection got oxidized but a wire was so much easier to fit that it was not worth the time to take the whole thing apart.
