Workshop Socials

Just to throw in my two pennies worth. Would a small document which everyone signs, which states that any unforeseen damage done to a car is solely the owners responsibility and no one else’s, sort out the main problem of liability? Dunno if that’s robust but just a thought?

I have just been to view a house down here near Axminster that has a huge garage (could easily fit 4 A2s in there), with a pit, and could easily park another 6 A2s on the drive. If we go for it (and I think we will) I'd be up for hosting a social, my boys would love it (not sure about the wife, maybe you guys could bring some other halves to even the score out or something?!)

It also has a good BBQ pit and a pizza oven along with a large outdoor entertaining space. :)

Good luck with that house ? The South-West has not had any local socials since the ADI event sadly finished in 2018. I'd be up for that one even from here!

so the concept the Germans follow is simple: you are doing your own work. But there is someone around who has probably done this before. And can hand you the spanner, move the wire out of the way etc. You are always responsible for your own time on the lift, so if you know you want to do "x which is difficult", you need to state that ahead of time and see if someone is around who's already done it and that you have all the parts to hand. It becomes more like a social at which a few people get their hands dirty at that point than a service.
