Worn Brake pad warning light reset

Final outcome - thanks guys

Took the car back to the garage on saturday to get the tracking done, and gave me an ideal opportunity to sort the other bits, as they were getting some work from me.

Have used the garage for years, and they have been quite good to me.

Turns out, the brake pads were Unipart, and don't have the wear sensors, so they have isolated the wear sensor now, and the light is gone! :) I'll just have to keep an eye on them, easy to see with alloys.

The clunking is down to the fact that the Unipart item didn't come with the stainless shims....I've requested that they get some, and we'll put the matter to bed.

Car also feels better with the tracking tweaked.

Thanks again for all your help, gave me the technical backup so that I could explain the situation without coming across as telling them how to do their job. Softly, softly....etc.

Hugely grateful

WB
