Would this write off an A2 ?

I'd be very surprised it after the impact the only casualty was the TRE. Drop link, hub or indeed the wishbone itself may have been bent / damaged int he impact. If the car is driving ok in straight line then I'm guessing the drive shaft is ok

Na the A2 suspension is tougher than you are giving it credit for

Update.

Insurers have decided they want to write the car off as a CatS because of the bent A pillar, the write off is no surprise given the costs in a body shop as highlighted above, but I was hoping for just uneconomic repair. I have an option to keep the car but I'm away for work in 2 weeks for 6-12 months (the A2 was supposed to be coming with me) so I have put the car into the Market place. If no one is interested I'll try and store it at home and get onto it next year. I've had the argument over the category but their engineer isnt budging.

That’s bad luck as it’s a graze on the A pillar not structural
Not sure who’s it works now If cat s can you just put it back on the road or do you need engineers reports ?

Unfortunately the A pillar is structural according to the new classes of write offs. Cat S because Structural damage. New categories are A, B, S and N. Still does not appear to be any ehgineers report before the vehicle is put back on the road. This article explains more about Cat S.
