Wynn's Direct Injection Power 3 for the FSI ?

Does anyone have experience with using the above product?

It seems to be the product to use if you have an FSI engine -

When I was researching into the A2 1.6 FSI (before buying mine) it became apparent the engine could be temperamental. Even the car I bought had 'previous' where the person I bought from had spent over £1,500 at Audi to have 4 new injectors, fuel pump and various gaskets replaced.

I'm interested in any other tips / products to help keep the FSI engine running efficiently . . . .

Best advice on this forum seems to be to use super-unleaded when ever possible, and many running problems are caused by faulty coil packs.

Hi Cliveski as a fellow fsi owner and has read/seen the damage that can be done by the carbon build up i was keen to do anything to minimise the chance.Recently i had two injectors fail, whilst diagnosing the problem i had the mechanic look in my engine using a bore scope down the plug holes and down into the inlet valves.yes there was some build up by no means anything to be concerned about.
Audi/vw have a bulletin paper about the use of these sprays and the Wynn's one you talk about is one they recommend using at service times.the other treatment that gets great reviews is the SEA FOAM kits that consist of two bottles.my mechanic works part time at a testing ground that manufacturers and fuel companies use and recommended to me to use branded high octane fuel as the quality of detergents is higher and of better quality-he also felt the supermarket high octane fuel had not helped the injectors out. So now i use bp ultimate and give it some beans once a week.
hope the treatment works for you mike

Thanks for the info Mike. Bought some of the Wynn's product off eBay for less than £11 delivered. At that price it's worth using once a year lol. Will look into the Sea Foam too.

I'm going to run my car on Shell V-Power where possible. I don't do that many miles each year so the additional cost (compared to regular) will not be that significant.

UPDATE 04/03/11

I used the product in a tank full of v-power (not all of it as one bottle 'treats' 50 litres of fuel and the tank only holds 42). Maybe it was psychological but the car did seem a little smoother than normal. Economy was a little bit better than usual as well - not by much but then again my economy seems good compared to others in the first place - 39mpg from a mixture of very short journeys plus some long runs.

Will be using the product every six months, combined with the stuff that is sprayed into the air box at service time, I'm sure these engines need that bit of help to stay health / efficient.

I had a "wobbly" idle on my 1.4 a2 about 6 months ago and it was solved by using Forte advanced gas treatment. Great product, i put a 400ml bottle into half a tank of fuel and red lined the car wherever i could until the tank was virtually empty and since then my idle has been stable.
