Very nice.

BUT,

NO automatic adjustment - as required by law

NO washers - as required by law

FAILED MOT when due

and a BIG TUG by the boys in blue when stopped for high beams (which they do around me all the time now)

just fit bigger bulbs. Cheaper and as effective AND L-E-G-A-L
Well if they were fitted to an r reg saxo with tints and full blown body kit your probably right with the police quote, but when they are on a 55 plate Audi A2 with the beam switched to the lowest position i have a much greater chance of pulling it off!

Especially as my mother works for the local force ;) an even better chance!

The mot thing im not too sure of. I have known many cars with HID kits fitted to pass the mot no problems!

Anyway, i dont give a damn they are in and staying there until told by nasty mr plod to remove them which is highly doubtful!

you are probably right about the comparison with the Saxo scenario.

The A2 doesn't/shouldn't attract the same type of unwanted attention. Same with my tinted windows, never had even a sniff of attention.

But as the saying goes, fore-warned is fore-armed. It would appear some forces have different priorities.

I remember a few years ago now, Cambridge police had a purge on the front fog-lamp brigade. Three points and £60, thank-you very much, for "misuse of front fog lamps". Although on that particular point I was very much in favour. :)

Hi Manhatten$ I've just bought a set of the tera leds. are these simple to install and also do you get a blown bulb icon on the dash? i was asked this when purchasing. I decided to go for these as my cheapo ebay 3 squid bulb has blown on me and is flashing on and off, bladdy lasted not even 6 months. grrr. I've read elsewhere that these teras last at least 2 years!

Yes, easy to install but you may have to take the headlights out. I removed my headlights as i was also fitting the xenons at the same time.

Try removing the rear bulb cover on the back of the headlight there should be a metal retaining clip, pull this to the side then pull the cover off.

The side bulb pulls out,you should see/feel a long plastic strip just pull straight out.

You should have the filter/ballast packs with the tera led bulbs, fit these first before fitting the led as it will blow

You can fit the filter on the positive + sidelight cable where the black bulb cover sits, there is plenty of room to wire up and store the ballast under there.
They do not cause the blown bulb alert to appear!

Regards,
Paul.

Hi Paul,

Managed to fit the new LED's and they look very good, nice and white, so white in fact that they're making my power gt150's look yellow. :( I'm looking to get a set of the xenons like yours, read loads of good things about them. I've seen them go for around £200, is this a good price?

Thanks

Chuck

Chuck,
Wait until you get your xenons fitted, they will make the tera leds seem yellow!

Keep an eye on ebay for the x5 kit, as they go for about £150 on there. I think i paid just over a £100, a bargain :D

Yes I see what you mean now! Just fitted the xenons in. Man these lights look bright and blue... and it's not even dark out!!! I'm well happy now. :D So now I have the exact set up as you, such a copy cat. Ha ha

Excellent!

Did you get the 6000k xenons? or 4500k ones?

I have a plan to replace the LED sidelights with something very special! :D

Chucknaldo, get some pictures uploaded here!
