Yesterday I....

Not strictly A2 related but yesterday I disabled the malfunctioning seat belt warning on my friends A3 that it turns out has being regularly going off at random intervals for the last 7 years(!!!!!!!).
He gave me a lift for a 5 hour drive a few weeks ago where it was going off for at least 2 hours, annoying doesn't even come close!

……Collected Sophie! (1.4 petrol)

I neither have space for, nor need, a second A2 (I recently declined dibs on a car on the forum)

BUT…… The car was very close to where I live and I couldn’t resist the impulse.

Good bits – low mileage (70K), full service history, Sports model (I thought it was a base model with sports alloys), Climate, DIS, all original tools including OEM compressor!

Bad bits – No cruise, No OSS, a few scratches, passenger window regulator need repair.

My first petrol A2 – and I love it!

Cough a2ba cough.
Looking good Steve. I have various window regulators ready for you.

Ahem...yes, I accept I have a "problem!"
Will let you know about the window regulator. Will strip down door panel soon.
regards
Steve

Very nice, but those 9 spoke sports wheels have no sidewall protection. Keep away from kerbs!!!! (Speaking from experience!).

Thanks Andy. I know what you mean. My first A2 (tdi SE) had the same wheels - The first thing I did was to swap them for correct SE wheels. Much better ride quality.
Having said that, in Sophie ride quality is very good - I assume she has the proper Sports suspension?

Just found an old picture of #1! ? (before the swap)

Yesterday, I got Pimey back from WOM with an entirely new set of suspension, a fully working handbrake and a fully functioning engine coolant temperature system.
To say he drives better is a massive understatement! A real transformation.
Many, many thanks to the amazing chaps at WOM Automotive for fitting me in around their already hectic schedule and doing such a sterling job. A very happy car and owner.

Yesterday, on my commute to work I hit the milestone of 100,000 miles! First car I have owned to reach six figure mileage but considering car is 18 years old it has averaged 5555 miles a year. Mileage is going up rapidly now as I cover 18-20k miles a year.

Yesterday I took receipt of Pimey from the lovely people at WOM Automotive, he had had a good deal of stuff done to him thanks to both Marcus and Rob but also our very own @timmus and I'm currently feeling like a kid in a candy shop. New toys include Bose, MFSW, CC, ColourDIS, aero wiper, mudflaps, a damage free passenger door and a service!

Yesterday.... (Actually Sunday) I finally got round to fitting the TT steering wheel to Sophie. I've only had it for 4 months. I also fitted the Spare wheel bracket - that's been kicking around in the boot for several months too! A couple of quick jobs - made simpler thanks to the knowledge-sharing on this forum! :p
