1.4 Tdi Struggling to start..

I still have the filter bypassed at the moment, so I took advantage of her being driveable to trundle up to the village square and giver her a wash.

Next job is to fix up the filter housing bracket, so that I can fit it back to the car. You should just be able to take one bolt out and it slides down and off the frame, but mine was totally seized on. You can see I cut a slit in the side to be able to ease it off.

I can't for the life of me find my blow torch to get some heat on that nut, and then I have got to fire up the generator to get the welder going to weld the bracket back up, all fun and games!

I managed to get the seized bolt out of the bracket today, then I welded up the cut I had made, then I spent an hour filing down the excess weld from the inside of the fitting. Anyway it's back on the car, blathered with Lanoguard Moto Grease, which is great, but stinks of sheep :)

When I realised the next step would involve getting doused in diesel again, I couldn't face it, so have left it for now. I'm going to order a some pipe and connectors so I will have what I need to make everything good.
