Hi all

I` ve been umming and arring about buying another bike bringing my total personal vehicles to 4.

Do i really need it all the extra expense, feeling a bit guilty really, so just curious to learn how many of you have more than one vehicle and why?

4 types of vehicle, currently. Peugeot 308, Audi A2, MGB 1972 and Peugeot Liberty 125cc bike. Sold another MGB a couple of weeks ago. Drive the blue on through Germany, over the Italian Alps to lakes Como and Garda in August, fantastic trip would def. recommend it the Stelvio Pass is unmissable.View attachment 58823

Yes no problems at all. I did need to rest her on the way up the Alps to cool for 20 mins. Very hot Summer it was already 38C and because I keep her original with no electric fan.

I must admit I did not enjoy Stelvio on the motorcycle to many swish back hairpins the novelty wore off quickly ..san berdanino with its sweeping roads allowing good turns of speed in between some of the tight corners was a joy ..like any of these mountain passes don’t ride / drive them weekends or peak holidays way way toooo much traffic to enjoy it fully ...

Yes your right luckily I read about the tourist crush so planned the journey to start from an Alpine hotel in Trafoi at the top of the Stevio. We left at 8am after breakfast so had the trip down with no other cars and at our own speed even stopping and taking pics it was terrific. Clarkson I think was right to say it was the best road in the world to drive.

People keep asking me - so ... not in any particular order
  1. Baby Boomer - A2 tdi BHC
  2. Project X - A2tdi BHC
  3. CSi 90 - A2tdi 90 CS
  4. Black 1.4 Petrol
  5. Dolphin Grey 1.4tdi
  6. Project Shed - Ex-BHC shell for spares, although increasingly being used as a shed
  7. Azure Blue 1.4tdi for spares
  8. 986 Boxster 2.7
  9. Scirocco Storm 1.9 BRMotorSport
  10. Nominally another A2 FSI which I don't think dad ever gave me any money for.

The FSI is amazing (I've just bought one - see project Stob), but as with all the A2's they have their faults and idiosyncrasies. If you were interested in buying that car I can share more info but lets take this to PM.

Cheers.

My main transport fleet:
57 plate Seat Altea 1.9TDI (28k this year)
53 plate A2 TDI Sport 75 remap (10k this year, well mostliy in 11weeks)
Dolan GX1 Carbon Gravel Bike (just 728miles this year, did 17K on the last Dolan in 4 years)
Salomon SpeedTrak & Salomon Speed Cross 4 (ran 1012 miles so far this year!)
Plus I have used 29 different hire cars so far this year (from my phones BT list)

My 2005 A2 Tdi90, 2003 A6 Allroad, 1990 Mercedes 300CE and 1972 VW Beetle. I'm trying to cut down, the non Audis are either for sale or will be !! I justify the Allroad for its caravan towing duties
