@Darpod14 - a nice car that you can improve on as you use it.
One request - please rip those tyres off and lob them in a skip ASAP; then replace them with decent rubber.
The name alone says it all!Are you not a fan of Landsail? (Heard good reveiws but never used myself)
Having owned xr3i, ren 5gt turbo, Mondeo st24 you can be rest assured my heavy footed days are long ago!Landsail is by no means the worst budget tyre brand and, assuming Darpod14 doesn't intend to drive his new acquisition as if he stole it - to coin a phrase - and has some driving experience enabling him to recognise hazards and drive accordingly, I see no reason to change what appears to be a fairly new set of tyres.
Agreed is not the best name but is this all your condemning them for?The name alone says it all!
No condemnation, I’m keeping them on! Far down the list of things to do!Agreed is not the best name but is this all your condemning them for?
I think they will be great, and when you need more tyres i expect landsail will be your first enquiry! No condemnation, I’m keeping them on! Far down the list of things to do!
You could try softening the warped bits with a heat-gun (maybe a hairdryer on full?) and flattening them between two lumps of wood or something like that. If you are going for the undertray though, it may be that the bumper has no holes left for the screws it would share with the undertray. Is it just a case of new bumper needed here guys? I know I need the under tray, but is this not salvageable?
Thanks ?I love the spec of this car and the fact it has a few battle scars means you won't worry too much about it when you park in a supermarket car park with the "I don't give a sh*t brigade" opening doors etc without a thought. Just enjoy the toys this has to offer, yes I am jealous.
Welcome to the fold, once the bug hits not many can stay at just one A2, I had 4 until earlier this year, only got 3 now and still looking for the holy grail. ?
Thanks ?
It’s going to be an everyday driver, so it’s probably unnecessary to make it too ‘nice’. It’s having paintwork right now ? and the alloys are next, but I am going to try and be careful not to go too far. Otherwise I’ll need another one as my everyday! ?
ok, I’ll certainly take a look at doing that, see what happens! You could try softening the warped bits with a heat-gun (maybe a hairdryer on full?) and flattening them between two lumps of wood or something like that. If your intentions are to fit an undertray it depends on whether there are enough undamaged fixing points under the front bumper to hold it in place. I think it just slides under initially but your best bet is to get her up in the air for a closer inspection before writing the bumper off.Is it just a case of new bumper needed here guys?
