Hello good people of A2OC,

As many will be aware, there is a club social event in Aberdeenshire over the weekend of 25/26 June 2022. More information about this upcoming event can be seen here:

I shall be attending this social event, though won't be joining the daytime activities as I shall be tucked away in a barn working on A2s ...possibly your A2! It is my intention to offer my A2 upgrade/repair services throughout the weekend and for a day or two to either side of the weekend.

Please be aware that there are some limitations to the range of services that I can provide when away from home. I shall do my utmost to fulfil as many requests as possible, but time will be the limiting factor. Should the demand for my time exceed supply, I will try to prioritise seeing as many club members as possible. As such, if your desires are likely to need a large chunk of my time, I may request that the job is either trimmed or delayed until a later opportunity.

Initially, I am looking to gauge how much interest there is from those in attendance, and whether any jobs need to be done on the Saturday/Sunday or whether they can be pushed to the days to either side of the weekend. Of course, I would like to reserve my time over the weekend for those with no alternative.

Before signing off this thread, I'd like to thank @George Hogg for hosting this event and for allowing me to work on A2s from his home.

Hi Tom, you will have the use of the garage and you’re welcome to stay as long as you want. We’re glad to have you. There’s an element of self interest here! I have a few jobs so that I would like done too. I’ll send you a list separately. Iain Cowie is very keen to get some jobs done too

The only thing with Iain is he can only drive one car at a time so picking the car may be an issue :D Sorry Iain :p
 
A look into my battery drain issue would be most appreciated indeed........otherwise I'll need to sell Iain yet another car, or swap it for a couple :)
 
Hello folks,

The current Leighton Buzzard residency has been keeping me extremely busy and I have therefore had very little time to reply to incoming messages. However, with the Aberdeenshire Social on the horizon, I thought I'd publish a quick skeleton schedule for how I see my time best divided. Hopefully what I'm proposing suits everyone, but please let me know your thoughts.

Friday 24th: @ICowie followed by @Passatmann0
Saturday 25th and Sunday 26th: @Teresa, @Virginiacg, @Seb_Gurkyh, @Buchanan DTR, @theclarks
Monday 27th: @George Hogg

The precise schedule for Saturday and Sunday will best be decided amongst us, depending on who's doing which activities, who needs their car at various times, etc, etc.

@Oett83, I was wondering whether this presented us with an opportunity to address the lock barrel issue on your A2 ...unless you've had it sorted elsewhere in the meantime.

Having trawled through recent messages in my inbox, I think I have included everyone who has requested a slice of my time. However, given my current busy schedule, it is entirely conceivable that I've overlooked someone. If that's you, please speak up!

Hi Tom, I will only be up on the Saturday as off my holidays the following week.
I'm not sure if others are there for the full weekend.

Sounds good for me. We are staying g over in Falkirk on the Friday so should be at the farm by about 1ish

Living 20 mins away I could wangle just about anytime between Friday and Monday, except Sunday before 1pm. Working at home all day on the Friday,
which you pass, if that makes any difference to the window of opportunity to fit everyone in.
 
Hi Tom - I'm planning to travel up on Saturday I guess I'm just looking to get my colour DIS firmware updated if possible? Thanks
