@Jellybean have you got any photos of the azure blue one with these on before it went to @2work?View attachment 100287
Sorry for the lack of netiquette of reviving a thread, but I remember seeing one of you's A2s wear these 17s, and they are the right PCD - is it just the Mandela effect or can any one of you recall who it was?
Morning Steve,@Jellybean have you got any photos of the azure blue one with these on before it went to @2work?
Oh of course, the Project OEM thread!Morning Steve,
I knew I’d seen these wheels in question on an A2 before. They’re shown on the very first picture on the Project OEM thread at Post #1:
They must be replica wheels as I don't believe that triple segment design was made in a OEM 5x100 fitment hence probably why @2work had to remove them from his 'Project OEM' carAdditional question for anyone who knows - where did they come from? I know the A6 had them but that one's 5x112 - are these replicas?

Evening Neil and Mars,Sad if true, I think few wheels in this thread come close... but the great color may be a factor in that.
Steven, how did you paint your headlights. They look a bit grayish. Very nice. Please let me know. Cheers, AndrejWell here are my MK1 TT 17” wheels pouder coated to a dark grey with a rainbow glitter flecks through them.View attachment 58167View attachment 58167
Maybe that car's actually a completely normal one and it's just not been unlocked yetSteven, how did you paint your headlights. They look a bit grayish. Very nice. Please let me know. Cheers, Andrej

The reason i am asking this is that my headlights dont come from the same box. And if you look carefully, you can see that left light is a bit more yellow thatn the right one. And its making me nervous.... Thats why i tried to sand and polish them. Even that results were good, the colour difference is still there, so i dont see no other option than buying a new one's.....but i have 400 reasons not to....Morning Andrej,
To achieve the smoked look on headlights, some members have had a touch of black paint mixed into the 2k clear coat before application. This look does seem to suit some exterior colours but not too sure it's acceptable to present a set of 'smoked-headlights' for MOT.
Kind regards,
Tom
Yes, I have already done a set, I took off all the dead chrome first, I am going to the next set Chrome finish will post a picture here when done.Wondering if i could get my Wheels refurbished to polished finish.
They are from a 2005 1.4 SE.
Currently are Silver coloured.
Are these the same Wheels that were offered from Audi on the A2 with a polished finish that were simply painted Silver?
Would appreciate anyone's comments please.
They would need to be 'diamond cut' rather than chromed. It will have the same desired effect of producing a very shioney wheel. They would be powder coated on the inside and the bits inside the spokes with powdercoat and then cut back to a chrome finish on the faces. Followed by a clear powdercoat to seal them. It's not a cheap process, probably arund the £300 mark for a set like this.Wondering if i could get my Wheels refurbished to polished finish.
