The Definitive Alloy Wheel Picture thread (Alloys)

I am currently trying to go through the build sheet for the vehicle and find what it should have.
Anyone know wheel codes?
If you scroll up the page a little to post #385 you will find every factory available alloy for the A2 including the factory tyre sizes 👍

This is what we have.
Any ideas?
Many thanks...
Yes they are 16" X 7j mk1 TT alloys.

They suit the A2 really well as they have a slighter lower offset of et31 which makes them sit out 7mm further than the factory 17" Sport wheels that you're looking for and fill the arches well.

They also ride far more comfortably with the tyre size you have (205/50/16) which is the perfect size for the A2 btw (standard size for the TT is 205/55/16 which don't fit on the A2 correctly as they can rub) and they are much stronger wheels too 👍

This is great. Many thanks indeed.
So it looks as though it maybe best to these on and simply put some fresh tyres on.
?
It will be pounding up and down country lanes so stronger wheels is a good idea also?

Thoughts?

Absolutely.

If you're driving on rough roads then the more tyre sidewall the better.

The only other option would be to fit 15" wheels with either standard 175/60/15, 185/60/15 or even 175/65/15 tyres for the most comfortable ride possible and the bonus of an accurately reading speedometer too👍

They look great and only weigh 6121g which is just over 400g more that Pepperpots, a very small sacrifice to gain extra width for grip.
Kind regards,

Tom
