Birchall 27 Oct 2013 HI, They are a mystery to me, I have not seen them on any other A2 anywhere. They are not painted, they feel like brushed stainless. I will be swapping them from this car (our Daughter's car) to my project car. I wish I knew where you could get them because they are a very nice option. They are so well made that they may even be an Audi option??? They are only held on by a few screws and so if you wanted to do this you might be able to get them wrapped? Steve B
