I was curious as to whether or not i would do any damage to the fuel lines/injectors by running out of fuel..
I have mainly driven diesels and i understand its bad to run out of fuel in a diesel but would the 1.6FSI be the same?
I wanted to run it down completely to clean the tank through and start fuelling with selected fuels only.
I recently used some additive to help clean it and since have only used super unleaded but given the age and mileage the tank could have built up a fair amount of crap in it so i wanted to be cautious and ask opinions on here about doing this.
