1.6 FSI Sport and 1.6 FSI SE?

Hi,

Are the 1.6 FSI Sport and 1.6 FSI SE the same thing?

Reason I ask is that I imported an A2 for my wife from Northern Ireland. I was in the VRO in Dublin today to pay Vehicle Registration Tax. They couldn't find the Sport on their system, only the SE. They sent me away and will investiage to find the relevant rate of VRT.
 
Wheels and suspension are the main external differences, I think.

SE has 16" wheels and Sport 17"

Suspension may have been a little more firm or sporty.

Thanks, sounds as though the rate of VRT should be pretty similar for both of them.

They have an online tool that quoted me €2,200 on an 03 1.6 SE with 38k miles. It's calculated at 25% of the retail price of the car in the Republic of Ireland.

When I went into the office, they quoted me €3,300:confused:. I asked them to check it as this gave a value for the car of over €12k. I haven't seen an A2 valued that high in Ireland since looking at them over the last few months. Turned out they were quoting me for an A3 1.6 FSI Sport. Luckily I queried it and didn't just pay them.

I'll wait and see what they come back with.
 
When new the list price of the Sport was £500 more than the SE.
