Whilst sorting out last night I came across an A2 Brochure and Price list from 2002 (when we bought our first one). Audi ref 113/1102.50.25 valid from 02/07/01. From memory ours was one of the last 2002 my cars as there was a risk that we would have got a 2003 car without the CD player.

There have been some questions asked about what was standard and what was an extra - here goes, for a basic car it was pretty well specced!

Yes it really lists speakers TWICE in the base model and it does refer to them as LOUD!
 
Here are the options - price list Edition 2 dated 07/02. Tried to paste ina table from Word but web-site shows it as text. This is where some of our members who have bought second hand get a shock seeing just how much their cars cost new!

BTW there was a deal going in 2002 where metallic and climate were available for IIRC £500.

The metallic & climate offer (which included pearlescent paints too) ran pretty much to the end of production I think - and I seem to recall it was either £250 or £295. I know this as the dealer kept trying to persuade me to buy a new car before the end of the current offer - only to find that the offer was simply renewed for the next 6 months year on year.

This is where some of our members who have bought second hand get a shock seeing just how much their cars cost new!

If I get the time, I will store the prices for each year in the user preferences section - the system can then auto-calculate the purchase cost of your vehicle.
