2010 a2oc curry night/day

Hi Mike,
Add me + 1 to both events, though since we are down to only 1 car, RAV4 bit the dust, this might be subject to a late change,
Many thanks
ST

I really wanted to come to the meal this year but the wife is taking me to the canary islands so next event I will be available

As I'm rapidly approaching 40 and so senility is firmly set in, please can anyone who's asked for any little bits and bobs doing at the social remind me!

I've already got the laptop packed for Richard/Sumo/Vonnie, will have the spare TT wheel packed for Sojah, but was there anything else????

Cheers,

Mike

Mr Sumo,

Whats the plan for Saturday.

I know there is Cadbury in the day, but is there going to be a drive then Curry in evening??

And what are timings / meeting points for the sections of the day??

John

Hi all timings for the day are as follows
Arrive at cadburys world for 11.45-12.00 in the cadburys world car park.We will then move to the cafe for a tea and a chin wag.
We have a tour booked for 1.30 pm that takes about 1.5 hours plus we can then do the other attractions there.

So we will hopefully leave cadburys world at about 5.00 pm--its not far to the Duet restaurant but the trip can take 50 mins if traffic is bad.
The Duet restaurant is booked for 6.30 but the car park is a good size and free(contry to signs!) so if we are early we can have a chat and take some photos of all the cars.
anybody that wants my phone number please pm me.

have a safe trip any questions just ask cheers mike

Hi A2sumo, Skipton and all those coming to my home town of Birmingham at the weekend.

I have just noticed that this Cadbury trip is going to clash with the
Birmingham City vs Chealsea game this weekend. The kick off i believe is at 3pm, so for those of you who are coming may wish to plan a route of how best to avoid many of the roads around the football grounds area.
You will be alright coming in for your meet at Cadburys, but getting from there down to the fort may be a bit of a problem as the game may finish round about the same time you guy's get out of Cadburys.

I'm not coming to this event but if i can lend a hand to get you guy's through the traffic i will, let me know what you think?

If the weather is as bad as it is today. Take care on the roads on the way boys and girls. I am looking forward to seeing everyone again.

I don't think that the car park in front of cadbury world is very big, But the one to the side is bigger I think. So I would surgest that everyone meets there.

Cheers

David

Dear all,
Just to say that due to our Rav4 finally biting the dust and being scrapped yesterday, we won't be able to make the weekend. Our local garage confirmed our diagnosis that the car was beyond sensible sensible repair.
Very sorry to miss out on the fun and look forward to showing off (hopefully) a second A2 at the next meet,
ST

So we woke up this am thinking the dreaded flu may have abated a little - alas
Both Petra and myself having recently just changed jobs, think it will be wiser if we try to recuperate - massively disappointed!
And here Petra wanted to show off her new RED colour storm - take note Mike Sumo ;)

Hope you all have a great day

Im glad everyone had a great time-the smell walking arrouind the factory was amazing, nearly as good as the hot liquid chocolate with sour bears-yummy.i still cant believe my luck in winning the children in need block of chocolate! The curry/italian was a very nice and relaxed finish to the day-bonus was the great car park, the cars looked fantastic under the lights.
Great to see some new faces in addition to the usual suspects.i hope those that were unwell and couldnt make it get better soon.i have some ideas for next years socials that will be starting in april so keep an eye out in the socials section. i would like to thank all that take the time to come to the socials as without you it just wouldnt be the same, it still amazes me the way we all get on so well considering the age span of the members.

cheers mike

Thank you Mike for a really good day.

I really do think you excelled yourself this year with the chocolate factory and the resturant!

The timings were spot on with the late start and coffee stop off before the resturant.

Thanks again and great to catch up with the group again.
