Over the years this site has inspired me to keep my car polished and looking immaculate. However this is what happens after a 30 minute rain shower. It's heart breaking. Apparently caused by dust from the Sahara in the atmosphere

Snow foam is your friend in this case , rinse first & then snow foam before touching it.
Had the same in the south of France following mistral winds.
