Hi,
Hope someone can help me.
My dad has an Audi A2 1.6 FSI. It was bought on 22nd May 2003 with 3000 miles on the clock and was an ex demo. When it was handed over, we were just told that the car had been serviced for us, no paperwork was given.
My dad had the car serviced at 17,000 miles (29th April 2005) and they said the NSF alloy wheel was buckled. My parents (whom are not english speakers) didn't notify me of this and we had the car MOT today.
The MOT failed due to the alloy wheel.
We are arguing with Audi that the alloy wheel should not buckle at 24,000 (which is the mileage now) or even at 17,000. But their arguement is wear and tear. They say that we drive over speed bumps and/or pot holes too fast, but why would you do that if you know your car is an FSI with a sports suspension????
We have had a history of complaints saying that the suspenison was too hard and the car was too bumpy, but Audi have always said that the suspension is like that.
On 14th April 2005 we complained about noise coming from the front suspenison and they found the noise was due to cracked anti-roll bar mounts. This was removed and replaced. But could this have been caused by the dodgy wheel??.
Any feedback as to what i can do is appreciated.
Thanks
Amy
