Bought A2 TDI with a bit over 46k on clock. Showing service required in 1600 miles. Book shows last service at approx 38k when the 40k 'Additional work' was carried out (filters etc). So it just needs a small service according to Independent Audi Dealer 'Star Performance' in Kirkcaldy. they told me it would only cost £100. Then I replied asking if they put the Long-life oil in. He said that the long life oil service is £128 inc vat but that judging by the details i gave of mileage and servicing, that my car was not on long-life servicing, otherwise it would be getting serviced every 14-18k. I thought that this model of A2 enjoyed very long service intervals and was wondering what other people thought? Should I get them to put the long-life stuff in just for the hell of it? Also, how long til the next service after this?
