BBC has an article on 1st MOT test failures on 3rd anniversary (Renault Meganes is worst)

There is also a link to a German TUV ranking report dated 17.12.2009

It _think_ it says 2-3 year test period - not too sure what that means - maybe my lack of German.
Here the A2 is ranked 59 (1=best) with the other Audi's doing better
Rank Model %failure 1,000Km
17 Audi A3.....3,3.....52
23 Audi A4.....3,5.....69
30 Audi A6.....3,9.....84
36 Audi TT.....4,0.....40
49 Audi A8.....4,4.....81
59 Audi A2.....4,7.....41
The range is as follows (I've given 2 at the bottom as the %failure is significantly different)
Rank Model....................%failure 1,000Km
1 Porsche 911..................1,9.....35
to
124 Chrysler PT Cruiser.....13,8.....45
125 Kia Carnival...............29,3.....57
