A2OC discount

Yes interesting indeed,
However IMHO and the way I feel I would never dare to post my ECU I would only have the mods done by a company that I was comfy with and I would want to be there in person to see what goes on and what they individuals were doing with my "Ollie" and also I would want before and after rolling road reports.
However I have to admit that if I were in the market for a remap then I would be very concerned that someone as knowledged as Skipton re A2's seems to be anti this form of procedure(ie posting ECU's).

Andyman, you are completely right to use caution:

If anyone is considering this service, please PM me and I will explain my concerns in full.

Cheers,

That is clearly a fantastic reference John . . . and believe it or not (as I actually don't own an A2 yet but am working very hard on that point) I was actually trying to help you, by attempting to appease what I imagined the main misgivings might be from the majority here.

I hope you can appreciate my attempt at concilliation (however misguided) on what might have become a problematic thread?

Cheers,

No don't worry I don't take it the wrong way at all. There are many misguided views in this thread. The fact that many of big tuners offer a service where they post ECU's (Revo, APR, Oettinger, Abt) seems lost on some people. If anyone needs further explanation on how this is achieved pm me also. Also if anyone is unsure whether an A4 tdi can be remaped via OBD I will be more than happy to forward them to the relevant hardware suppliers of which there are many :)
