That sounds like a fantastic road trip and looks like a great time was had by all:):):)

Hi,
Brilliant photos, glad you all had a wonderfull time. Reminds me of my trips round europe many years ago. The bridge looks unreal. That lush green valley with enormous concrete pillars spouting out of it. Wouldn't like to be crossing it during an earthquake !!!
Is Ian's Seat the project he was doing recently ?? Looks pretty nippy !?

An excellent report Richard, I'm glad that you both enjoyed it and have some top memories!

I still haven't had the time to sort out my pics, but when I've got everything sorted a DVD will be in the post to you - including Millau bridge crossing video :)

It was a superb trip, not exactly restful but well worth the effort! Thanks to all those who attended

I did this about 25 years ago and recommend it highly.

Superb thread, and pictures.

No probs with the A2 on this epic voyage.

Wow what an epic pan-europen road trip. Seems like you guys had a fabulous time. I am sooo envious. Wish I could have gone with. Did you guys have any motoring problems or was it largely uneventful?

I do hope you guys will arrange to go on another similar european trip in the near future so that others like myself can get the opportunity to go along. Safety in numbers I guess.

It would be nice to see more of those fab photos perhaps at the next social gathering.
Look forward to seeing some of you at the next social.

nice video Ian looks lovely weather too. what did you take the video on? was it your lumix camera? as the quality looks great.
only thing is who is admitting to passing wind as you join the bridge and leave it? good job mate

Yup, my HD capable Lumix TZ5 ;)

Hey Ian the video look great, the road looked so clean, not like ours lol

Phil

Indeed - the roads put ours to shame, apart from their ability to induce vehicular farting from time to time, or at least that's what Mike thinks!

Robin mentioned about Italy roadtrip, when we was on the 2009 one
So I have been thinking of a few places to visit in 2010, on a roadtrip

We drive direct to Switzerland stay for 4-5 days
Then continue to Milan and then down the left side of the coast of Italy,
Pisa, Rome, Naples and back up the coast on the right of Italy. Visiting Venice.

It would be good to cut out the France, Germany area but that is going to cost
alot going by a boat to go to the south coast of France.. about 12-20 days.
