A3 convertible!?!!

I have not heard anything about this car in any of the press I regularly read. So I suspect this is more someone's PhotoShop pipedream... Audi would be better off spending R&D money on getting a new A2 and a Merc B-class rival out the door than another cabrio that will just steal sales from the A4 cabrio and TT.

As far as I know, it is nearly "official" that Audi will build the A3 convertible. It is intended as a replacement for the Golf Convertible....

The Golf?!!! VW are making the Concept C cabrio with a folding metal roof AND a sunroof as a Golf cabrio replacement. Why does Audi need one too?! And more importantly if the VW has a fantastic folding metal roof why does the Audi have this old fashioned (but lighter) canvas affair?
