a6 divided by 3 = a2

Just swapped our trusty a6 for an a2.
After much deliberation we went for a 1.6fsi SE with the sky roof, bench seat & illuminated mirrors
Are we better running on the higher octane fuel or is the usual stuff okay?
Advice appreciated.
