Would like to get some opinions from the forum (Mike esp welcome!) over the following issue.
My ABS/Traction control warning lights came on just before Christmas (after rolling 50 yards) and so I booked it in thinking could just be a tach. Diagnostics showed Front NS us & Tach changed to no avail. The continuity was checked & OK. The outcome was there seemed to be a problem with the Rotor on the Wheel Bearing assembly and so the assembly was changed and Success! BUT it was only about 4 months ago I had both Front Bearings done (all was OK at this time & by a different garage).
They have given me the part to take back so I will follow this up, but has anybody had a rotor fail? I can't see how fitting of the housing would cause a problem so is there a manufacturing fault?
The cost of the Bearing Housings are not cheap so if I can get any input before I go armed with the dodgy part it might be useful.
Regards
Roy
