Air Mass Meter.. what is it?

Well what ever it is, mine has just been replaced after me being told that it appears to have been faulty from birth.

What ever it is, it has made an incredible difference to an already fast car,, cos I clocked a comfortable reduction in my 0-100mph time and my 90 - 110mph time has put me back into that I am going to seriously upset you bracket..!!

basically it measures the volume of air passing into the engine, so it's important for getting the fuelling correct - and air-fuel mixure of course affects power.
