Alarm Problems

Hi, The standard factory alarm fitted to my a2 has recently become very erratic setting off at all times day and night, I took my beloved a2 to a local volkswagen audi specialist so that it could be hooked up to there computer and they have informed me that my car is showing 10 faults and may require a new management system,

Has any one else had any problems with there alarm or any advice would be great???

Hi Phil,

my A2 has a similar problem. I started to cover it in another thread (link below), which I've been meaning to follow up, so watch that space. In my case it's almost certainly the so-called convenience module that's failed. This morning on the way to work the electric windows stopped working for a while, and then a while later the doors clunked like the central locking was being unlocked (it already was) and the windows started working again. Bizzarre.

If you search the forums for "convenience" or "komfort" you'll find a lot more info.

Good luck with getting yours fixed.

There is a new convenience unit on Ebay at the moment,but the auction ends at 15.55.BST today.
The items ebay number is -160156282387

P.S. It was selling for £4.99+£3 p+p so far.
 
Thanks for that didan't have a chance to find out from the seller if it was compatable or not but at that price thought it was worth a bid anyway's but i got outbid in the last seconds typical :mad:

Well, at least you tried. Good job my company blocks eBay during working hours or we might have ended up bidding against each other.

My module is 8Z0959433E. No idea what the differences are.
