Hi everyone,

A friend of mine has a BMW with sludge in the bottom of his windscreen washer bottle. The lines are clean.
The bottle is behind the wheel arch. So it's a £300 job for BMW to remove and clean it out.

He asked if any of you good folk had any idea's how to clean it out with out removing it? Is there anything he could put in to breakdown and disperse the sludge?

Any idea's gratefully received before having to fork out the big bucks.

Cheers

David

surely it's only a matter of take the wheel off and drop the arch liner ? mind you BMW .........

How about using a cheapo suction device that's normally used for oil extraction? They're available from Draper and Clarke and should do the job nicely with no need to drop or dismantle anything, as long as there's no awkward kinks in the fluid filler tube.

Cheers,

Mike

Roll it on its roof -it will then just leak out, SIMPLES sorry i should ignore the voices in my head. I would try a blast from a hose pipe to lift and flood it out the top.
cheers mike

That's brilliant Mike;) now my second question? How do I roll it on its roof without damageing the body panels? :)

Cheers

David
