Audi cd player

HI EVERYONE I AM A NEW MEMBER AND A2 OWNER. HOPE SOMEONE CAN HELP. MY CD PLAYER WAS WORKING FINE AND THEN FLASHED UP CD ERROR. I HAVE TRIED VARIOUS CD'S AND KEEP GETTING THE SAME MESSAGE. PLEASE DON'T TELL ME I NEED A NEW PLAYER. KIMBO1DOG

Hi Kimbo1dog, welcome to the A2oc

Sorry I'm no electrics expert and don't have an answer to your problem but if it was me, I'd start with the basic stuff like checking for loose plugs or wires on the CD changer cable in the back of the radio and on the changer itself. I think the sound system can log fault codes so the next step would be a VagCom diagnostic scan.

thanks spike i'll do that, it would help if i had the handbook, but i have had to order one from the maindealer and will be collecting it today.kind regards kimbo1dog
