just wondered what the demographic is around here ?

how long have you driven an Audi ?

what did you drive before ?

do you only drive Audi(s) now ? - and either way - will that change ? and why ?

personally, I've had Vauxhalls up until Sept last year when we took delivery of a new A4 avant - the ageing Vectra was officially retired to 2nd car, and now it's finally being traded for a new A2. The A4 was a lot of the reason why we got another audi - and right now I cannot see any changes on the horizon, either for different cars or makes.

so what's everyone elses story ?

what did you drive before ?
All sorts of things - old MGs, VWs, a Ford.

do you only drive Audi(s) now ?
Yep (except my motorcycle)

will that change ? and why ?
When scoobies become subtle...
When BMWs have decent interiors...
When my wife says "No no dear, we don't need a new kitchen. Off you go to the Porsche dealer, you deserve a treat"...

SWMBO has been driving them for nearly three years.

First audi followed in reverse order a Peugeot 206CC, Megane Scenic, Nissan Micra, Ford Sierra (2), Ford Fiesta, Morris Minor (all hers/ours) plus Mk1 Vectras, Passats and Now a Honda as company cars)

Will it change - if the Jazz gets a bit more power.

1.4 Petrol Special Edition, Ebony Black, grey leather, heated seats, climate, opensky, five spoke alloys for SWMBO (Replaced a 2002 1.4 Petrol SE) Honda Accord Tourer 2.2 iCDTi for me.

Before this (earlest first) Ford Escort, Rover 216, Lancia Delta, VW Polo,
The A2 is our only car,
NO.... Well not for the forseeable future..

Our A2 is officially the wifes. Her car history goes something like this. Vauxhall Chevette, Renault 5, Ford Orion, Ford Fiesta, Ford Fiesta, Audi A2 (written off) and a replacement A2.

My cars were VW Polo, Nissan Bluebird (written off), Datsun Cherry, Vauxhall Astra Mk2, Vauxhall Carlton, Fiat Punto HGT, VW Passat V5 & presently a 1.0L Corsa. Variety is the spice of life as they say.

Don't drink drive! Not only is it socially unaceptable, it also harms A2's.
Was a Merlot Red 1.4SE petrol originally.
Now an Ebony Black 1.4SE petrol with Red Leather, CC, Symphony + all the previous options we had.

A 1920's Riley, Austin Cambridge, Austin Somerset, Austin Farina A40, Riley 1100, Austin 1100,Ford Escort, Austin ..er, the one everyone hated (2 litre O series engine, hatch back, cable operated gear change etc.)I cant remember the model (I'm getting old!), Talbot Alpine, MG Maestro, MG Montego, Ford Sierra 2 litre DOHC, Ford Sierra 2 litre DOHC (don't ask!), Nissan Micra, Ford Mondeo, Volvo V70, Audi A2. I'm sure I've missed some out, and lots of motor bikes.
Most fun, MG Montego.
Most comfortable, Volvo.
Best service, Nissan, (except for my current Volvo independant).
Worst service dept., Audi, but the MG was bad too.
Most expensive purchase, Volvo, followed by Audi.
Least expensive, The old Riley, 5 of us chipped in a pound each.
Which would I like back? The Austin Somerset, and my Douglas Mk 5 motorbike.
The one I was most proud of (at the time) the Alpine.
Best bargain, MG Montego. Its still going somewhere in Norfolk!
What would I buy again, Volvo.
What wouldn't I buy again, you guess!
Currently running V70 and A2.

My A2, mine for nearly two years now, is my first Audi.
And I fear it will be my last too, as I don't find the higher models appealing enough for what they cost...

Working back from my current A2:
Honda Civic ('92 model), Renault Clio II ('02, fully trimmed), Honda Civic Aerodeck ('98), Vauxhall/Opel Corsa ('89)

I've decided to be a Honda man from now on. Jazz, FR-V or my current biggest wish: a Civic Aerodeck 1.8 VTEC!

Don't get me wrong, I adore my A2 with all its Audi qualities, but as a whole I'm not really into the VAG brands.

Only between Dec'02 to Sep'04... my old A2![29]

Since '94 in this order:
Seat Ibiza 1.9D, VW Polo 1.4 16, VW Golf IV 1.4, VW Golf 1.9TDI PD130, Citroen C3 1.1, Audi A2 1.4 TDI

Not any more. Since Sep'04 a Seat Altea 2.0 TDI 16v 140hp.
And it changed two weeks ago... My wife-to-be bought a Seat Ibiza 1.2 12v.... but after ordering the Ibiza, two months ago, the photos of the new A2 were released. We imediatly agree that the Ibiza should be replaced for that one.... when it arrives to the market!!!!!
