Hi guys,
I'm new to posting on this fantastic forum, but I've been lurking as a guest for the past few months since I decided I really wanted to be the proud owner of an A2.
Anyway, if you guys could help with my question (I have used the search function on this) I would much appreciate it:
After a lot of looking around I thought I had found the A2 for me (colour, spec etc..), however after contacting the dealer about it, he informed me there was unfortunately no service history with it, but it did have a full MOT history. This A2 is a 2001 TDi SE with around 70'000 miles on it, just MOT'ed and serviced, no mechanical or electrical problems whatsoever according to the dealers....
So my question is..how would you guys proceed in this situation:
Is having the previous service history really important in terms of me/dealer valuation opinion, and also future valuation for private or trade in purposes. If I proceed with the purchase (I will have to base my decision on the much valued advice you guys give) I intend to keep a full audi service record from this point on.
Again, sorry for being ignorant, I guess I should know the answers to my questions, but I could really do with some help...since becoming "aware" of the A2, I have become hypnotised by it's charms!
Best Wishes people,
Sean.
