Hi everyone, this is my first time here and I must say it's a great site!

I was wondering if anyone knows of a good Audi/VW bodywork specialist - preferably in South London - to get rid of a few scratches on my A2.

Thanks

When our first A2 was written off, it was taken to the Whitehouse Group bodyshop at Crayford. There were plenty of VW/Audi's there but I can't tell you how good there work is 'cos like I said above, our car was never repaired.

Don't drink drive! Not only is it socially unaceptable, it also harms A2's.
Was a 1.4SE petrol. http://www.audi-a2.co.uk/uk14.htm http://www.audi-a2.co.uk/safety.htm
New A2 - Ebony Black, Red Leather, CC, Symphony + all the previous options we had.

Hi Amp,
Welcome to the forum!
When you say a few scratches, do you literally mean a few scratches?!
In the past, I've used Chipsaway (http://www.chipsaway.co.uk/homepage.htm) to repair some scratches on my A2 and they have come out as good as new. It depends how substantial the damage is that you are talking about, but it may be more cost efficient to use them. Plus they come to you!

The scratches aren't very deep so hopefully it won't cost me too much. I should get a response from Chipsaway on Monday and with any luck, be driving a spotless A2 :)

Thanks again

Hi Amp.

Anything to report. I have an Ebony Black A2 and there are a goodly number of stone chips on it (esp the front bumper/valance and bonnet) picked up in the course of motorway driving. I have some touch up paint, but I am loath to have a go with it at the risk of it turning out looking rather ameteur.

I for one would be interested to hear how they charge and what the results are like.

Thanks.

James

Hi Jaffa,

Nothing as yet. The first chipsaway operator I was told to contact didn't respond for 3 days. I managed to speak to a different operator instead and he should phone over the weekend to arrange an estimate.

Hey Amp.

Thanks for the response. I guess they're kept pretty busy. Since I'm recently unemployed, maybe that's a franchise to buy into....could you check what sort of watch s/he's wearing? If it's a pricy one, the franchise is worthy of further investigation! ;p

Seriously though, I look forward to hearing your experiences, since I'm in South London (St.Reatham;)), too.

Cheers,

James
