Awesome GTI Store Open day (1st Aug '10)

Had a great day, nice to see 6 A2's turn out for this and to meet some different members as well, But on a down side some light fingered Ba$&*"d helped themselfs to 2 of my dust caps they took them off the passenger side so i wouldn't notice

Gits cant beleive that they looked smart as well looked for some on e.bay ended up buying silver locking ones hope you manage to replace them.
 
Would have loved to have been able to get down on the day to see the A2 crew, but oh dear - looking at the photos, there were some very tragic looking cars there. A little too Max Power for my liking!

I know what you mean Mike, not sure i understand the stretched tyre look and the amount of cars with another marks wheels on . I know i've got the GTi style wheels on mine but at least i put Audi centre caps on ;). Yes Lev i got somemore of Ebay and its not like they stood out as Audi caps, just think they can't have been as tight as the offside one's as i checked them and they are very tight

Looks like a regular VAG meet at ACE cafe every month (minus the number of A2s, of course)! Plenty of stretched tyres, especially on the caddies!
 
Thats for him to disclose ;) as its not fully ready he said he wasn't going to say untill then, so i'm not going to say but lets just say at the mo its AWESOME!!!!!!!

Like to say thank you for the warm welcome I recieved from the members that were there,not attended any before and newbie to vag shows ,lots of nice cars including the a2 special (my lips are sealed as to what it is) but as Mike said it was a bit max power with the cars on show.Had a good look at Awesome set up and was very impressed so much so that I have booked the remap of my car, going in first thing this monday morning hope I will impressed with change they make it.

Sorry I didn't get over to speak to my fellow A2 owners, I did speak to one gent who has recently bought a silver TDI (BIGTHI5??). I was on a flying visit from Newcastle with my girlfriend, so we rushed around the show.

Perhaps its my age, but I though a lot of the cars on show were great! Whilst I wouldn't like to use a lowered car with stretched rubber everyday, I think the style looks awesome (no pun intended :D)

I'm even tempted to restore a MkI Golf! I've posted some pictures of the nicer car's I seen here:

I was that gent my friend who was admiring your wheels pity you buckled one but all the same you have made more improvements than me to your A2 good look with your new project.

Thanks, though I won't be starting a project any time soon! I've now got a brand new replacement wheel so I FINALLY have 4 straight wheels on my car, 7 months after buying it...

Yes its a shame we didn't get to talk, it was nice to see so many A2's in one place which isn't very often and can you believe it two TDi's with the big spoiler as well ;), i think we are the only two at present to do this and i think i may have stared something now

Sojah, I ordered up a set of FSD's in hope that you'd be coming down (since I did promise to sort out a bit of a deal on them for you).
