Well when I got my car 6 years ago the bonnet flap did not want to open on delivery. For nearly 7 years it was fine until yesterday when I wanted to install my newly bought Phillips dipped and main beam bulbs... Grrr. Trip to Docklands Audi London and they were very helpful and said it just needs adjustment (which they could not adjust there and then) but they said it is a two man job for me to do myself. One person pulls the lever and the other slightly moves the panel to the left (by holding the Audi roundels) and voila: it opens.
It is going in on Tuesday to my local independent mechanic to have a fuel sensor and a cam sensor fitted (that his laptop picked up last time it was in for its MOT). So he can adjust the cable then. Phew least I can still add oil and water!!!
