I'm confused as to when this should be done - the garage where the service was done last year advised 50k miles or before, but the manual clearly states 60k. When is best?

Audi seem to move the goalposts on a regular basis and the recommendations keep changing but every 4 years / 60K is probably the optimum. Its importamt to change the water pump, tensioner and idler pulleys at the same time.
