Track day organiser is MSV and so no velcro, no cable tie and only purpose built camera mounts are allowed. That's words from the experienced trackers and MSV themselves. So tripod on the backseat with tie downs like Mike at Castle Combe will likely get rejected at inspection.

The usual thing to do is to buy a head-rest mount. It fixes to the metal struts underneath the headrest and then allows you to mount a camera in the centre of the car
