Cancelling a deposit fir a used car- legal situation advice?

Sad days when they simply disappear to any correspondence. Perhaps use a different number to call them in case they are screening your calls? Is the car still being advertised?

How did you pay the £500? I guess its basically gone now, I'd not lose any sleep over it and just enjoy the Passat.
 
I am not, more annoyed with myself for getting impatient and almost buying the wrong car. However the price I am paying for the Passat is just above the weripoffanycar price for it and I have just this hour sold my tired A6 for a touch more than my bottom price. So, all in all could have been worse. At least I haven't lost £20k on depreciation in less than 3 years the seller of the Passat has....
 
Keep on at them and you 'may' have it returned out of good will.

I left a ccard deposit on a new car and circumstances changed and it took months to get a refund. That was after telling them i will be doing a chargeback and leaving 'internet' & 'social media feedback' about them
