Comfort unit change ?

Hi .
Suddenly bouth sidewindows at front works :) after an change of starter-battery.
Well the comfort locking of windows still do not work, but only by the switches in doorpanels.
Does a new comfort-unit have to be programmed in any way , in connection to remote keys etc ??

The unit needs coding and the keys as well. A dealer will doing this for you but charge you a lot to do this.

I don't know if you have a equivalent of Mike Skipton in your neck of the woods, but failing that a independent vag specialist should be alot cheeper.

Consider having your existing comfort unit rebuilt by Lau (German A2oc) as all the settings are saved and it won't need recoding.
If you go for a new unit, it makes life easier if you check / record the old coding before fitting the new one.

Thanx anyway for all support .
Luckily I reset my windowsettings without knowing what I did , after new battery replaced. All functions a 100% :)
