My dads 03 tdi is going in to the audi dealer tomorrow for a fixed price major service (£249) but he has been told this will only give him the fixed type interval (1 year) and not the variable type (2 years with mileage countdown)he has enjoyed previously. They would be using the long life oil so how much do you have to pay for a variable service? And what is the point of the interim service at £99.
Incidently he has 5 litres of Fuchs 507 spec oil (which he paid £15 for) and enquired how much it would cost if he supplied his own oil. He was offered a discount of just over £70 to which he agreed!
