hi folks ...any of you had this happed ? My girlfriend has a 2002 A2 (1.7 petrol manual tranny),with only 72000 km ,purchased from Germany...She lives in the Eastern side of Europe, I live in New York...I was driving her car (in Europe)across the country,and in one moment...I could hear a clunk coming from the right front side of the car...The car acted as the cv axle was worn and the noise was there anytime the clutch got engajed...I was sure there is something going on, but...so ...I drove the car the way it was ....Couple of days later, we were in the middle of nowhere, when I heard some loud noises, and the car...remained paralized...The axle had given out ,and the car was undrivable...So..the nightmare just started....
I was pleased with the car ,and the fit and finish ,but dissapointed somehow with the problems the car had...Now ,with a broken axle , I was getting quite upset...Any of you had this happen to you ? or...maybe not yet..But the story doesn t end here...
