Deep dish alloys.

Personally i don't think the 80's "euro look" will be right for an A2. Being part of the Mk1 golf community, bold straight edged wheels look good on a very 80's straight edged car (Golf Mk1 or 2). however an A2 has far more subtle curves and the bold harsh lines of this wheel won't compliment it that much.

Having said that, its a personal thing and some will always like it and some will not. If you do go for it make sure you get some pics up here :)

Something a bit different may suit the car. Rota wheels often provide a good wheel for hondas, very popular in the US market, if they do the PCD and offset it could be an alternative. Below is a link to an example.

Or a set of porsche rims with hub adaptors?

Or if you want a deep dish try split rims BBS RS, seperate the rim and add a 2 inch lip.

I disagree with Emm, I think the Borbet wheels are terrific, nice simple clean lines, just like the A2, and would look just fine!

Hey,

I was also thinking about putting rims on my car, i looked at the borbets, loved the deep dish design but not really the interior, so now im looking at gettting some 17" split rim alloys, hopefully black in the middle with chrome lip round the edge as deep as i can get them. dont know if i can drop the ride height with that size on though but we'll see how it goes!

Whatever you choose, 7.5" is your maximum width, without issues. Anything wider and you'll either have arch rub, or chassis rub, depending on offsets.

Oh and before anyone asks, you can't roll the arches - they're plastic!

Cheers,

Mike
