I was driving down the M6 yesterday, and the weather was awful. I decided to take the toll road to save a bit of time: I paid the toll charge and drove off only to find my car was lacking in power - similar to having the handbrake nearly full on.
I ended up nursing the car home and switched off. On starting up this morning everything was fine.
I was driving to work today pondering on the problem and remembered that I had the same fault occur on a previous car ( a Mercedes E240) when I suddenly realised that it had happened as I pulled away from the Dartford toll booth
So, both times this has occured at an electronic toll booth - a coincidence? or has anyone else here experienced this before?
