EML Test????

HI All

Should the engine Managment light light up when the ignition is on??? if not is there a way to test that said light is working.

Yeah Thats what I would off thought, but I only get the the EPC light. please excuse my ignarence, but Im assuming the EML light is something like a Engine Picture on the A2.

On the diesels it looks like a coil (glow-plug symbol). No idea what it would look like on a petrol. It should say it in the manual.

On the petrol models its a yellow engine shaped symbol

ok Little worried then not seen it once on start up. is this something that can be disabled if a not to honest person want to. or can any one come up with a way to test it, 1.6 fsi

I believe there's a test feature in VCDS that allows the lamps and gauges in the instrument panel to be checked.
