I know this has been covered many times, but this is a bit different. I’ve been having starting problems for a while now, so I decided to check the engine earth after reading up on the problem.
I removed the passengers side headlight found the earth bolt & fitted the correct size socket, it seemed a bit tight but then seemed to be coming undone until the head sheared off the bolt. With no engine earth the car wouldn’t start at all, so I used a self tapping screw as a temp earth & put the engine earth back onto the alloy bar & it started up no problem.
Obviously this is just a temporary fix, has anyone else had this problem & found a permanent solution?
