Final Hurdle

This has to be the best car forum on the web. Any problem I had was always satisfactorily resolved and thanks to idiot proof advice from Mike and others I was able to remove both headlamp units and change the main beams to Halford specials, which are quite good. However the left lens cover is full of moisture and needs drying but I am reluctant to remove the wires, in case a klutz like me damages the connector. Mike did say there was a knack to it but I can't find the thread where he explained it. I would also be grateful for best advice as to where to position the little silica packs and how to hold them there. Many thanks in anticipation.

Post 9 is what you're after Joe.

I'd have a quick blast with a hairdryer whilst the headlamps are out and then put the silica packs in on replacement (just pop them in the back - no special placement needed).

Make sure that the rear cover is on correctly as it's really easy to get it slightly out of place.

Cheers,

Mike
