full drain down and service 1.4 tdi, what to do

hey everyone, more questions, we are yanking the engine out the front to do a jdd gearbox swap and cambelt, before i do this i wanted to flush the engine through change oil fuel air filters, box will get fluid change etc, if im running the car to flush it, what is the best flush, do i drain oil and then run the flush or what, what is the preferred oil for the jdd polo 5 speed box, is it worth running any sea foam or similar in the tank to clean the injectors etc, any turbo cleaner worth using etc, any advice welcome, she's done 212k so i want to do this all in one hit and future proof her.

We are venturing into mechanical voodoo land. In my experience none of these flushes and additives add any sustainable value.

If my engine is due a flush I would drop the oil put fresh in run it, drop it and put fresh in again with a new filter.

If my gearbox is contaminated again the same treatment,

Cooling system would be reverse flushed clean including the heater matrix and fresh coolant fitted

Injectors I would take out and send to a specialist.

Induction and turbo I would take off and clean the carbon out.

Work out which way the coolant flows detach a couple of pipes than stick a hose pipe on it until it runs clear. Easy with the heater matrix and radiator but the thermostat is a b****r to remove on an A2 TDi.
