Hazard Lights 1.4 TDi 53 plate

Hi,
Just bought an Audi a2 and realised what an amazing car it is, just one problem, It doesnt matter if the cars locked or not locked i dont think, but the hazard lights just randomly go on, once for the whole night resulting in a flat battery! So now everytime i leave the car i have to leave it unlocked and unplug the battey. Just wondering is this a common fault and anyone know of an easy fix? Thanks a lot, Naz

Hi Naz, welcome to the A2oc
It could be a faulty flasher relay. Other members have reported similar problems - see post 25 of the attached link - and the parts are not expensive if you can fit the relay yourself.

It could well be that Spike and I hope it is, as the other option is a faulty central convenience unit, which is a lot more (retail £216 - I fitted one for a member last week).
