Headlamp Brackets?

Have a headlamp with a broken top bracket. Anyone know of any option?
I see available on ebay, but pricey.
Awaiting quote from @CreweAudi but thinking they will be pricey too.
If no cheap fix, then I guess its stainless strip cut to suit!

Afternoon Bob,

As a possible solution could you not carefully remove the bracket from a unserviceable headlight. I have such a headlight (drivers side) here in the garage I’d be happy to attack with the Dremel for you Sir.

Quick ‘blob’ of adhesive of your choosing and all should be good.

Many thanks Tom. Just seems a shame to butcher a headlight?

Whilst on about headlights, is the motor unit the same in ns and os headlights?

There is a solid Audi repair piece, Kleynie has used it and reports a strong repair, here are his pictures.

May be wrong but due to the shape of these replacement brackets the layers of 3d print would tend to stress and possibly fail. Paul if anyone can overcome this it would be you.

They were £22 last year from Crewe.
 
I’m fairly sure that I can successfully print these. I have a plan if someone is able to send me one

Hi Paul,
I have a passenger side bracket i can let you copy. I'm guessing you can mirror image the object to create a drivers side bracket.
Pm me your address and I'll post it out.

There will also be the need to allow for the metal insert at the top of the bracket. This will be needed to spread load over the plastic underneath and stop it from splitting. I find it interesting that the headlamps have the corresponding screw receptacle holes in position already, almost as if Valeo knew the original bracket would fail at some point. Pity there's no repair bracket for the lower bolt hole.
